Project Over View:
The Karl Winters Fragrance Library page’s goal is to presents a meticulously curated collection of modern and sophisticated scents. As the UI designer, my role involved creating an engaging and visually appealing interface that reflects the elegance and sophistication of Karl Winters’ fragrance collections, and creating Instagram post for Karl winter’s signature products.
The design goal was to provide an immersive user experience that elegantly showcases the unique fragrances across the four olfactive families: Fresh, Floral, Oriental, and Woody. By emphasizing intuitive navigation, detailed product descriptions, and high-quality imagery, I aimed to convey the luxury and exclusivity of the brand, inviting users to explore and connect with the essence of each scent.

Karl Winters offers more than just candles; it provides an immersive experience where fragrance meets art. The brand’s value proposition lies in delivering unique olfactive experiences through high-quality, handcrafted candles that serve as both functional and aesthetic elements in the home.
User Persona

Functional Needs:
- Requires a seamless and sophisticated online navigation experience that matches her high-end lifestyle.

Mood Board

This mood board I created is an essential tool to visually communicate the aesthetic and emotional tone of this project. It serves as a visual reference that aligns the team and stakeholders on the project’s creative direction. It presents a cohesive visual narrative that aligns with the sophistication and sensory richness of the fragrances. The images chosen for each scent category provide a diverse but harmonious blend that speaks to the olfactory experiences each represents. Oriental represent exoticism and richness, Floral suggest softness and romance, Wood give a sense of groundedness and nature, while Fresh captures lightness and vibrancy.

Typography

I selected from various typography, and ended up choosing thee font Perpetua. The design choice aligns with the site’s luxurious and timeless feel, classic serifs and clean lines, exudes an air of sophistication and tradition, resonating with the brand’s high-end aesthetic.

The gradient colors chosen for each Karl Winters candle encapsulate the sensory progression of each fragrance, from the warmth of Ambre Noire to the freshness of St. Tropez. These gradients represent the journey of scent discovery, with each color blending seamlessly into the next, symbolizing the harmonious transition between the distinct notes—from the initial allure of top notes to the resonant depth of the base notes. This visual technique perfectly echoes the layered complexity inherent in the art of perfumery that Karl Winters embodies.
